  • I agree.  Will be interesting to see how the results of this roster compare to prior years.  Think Kane adds some toughness and physicality.

  • Now that the roster is finally set, I think this is a pretty competitive roster. Gonna be tough to get out of the Lexington region (UK has a stacked TBT alumni team & the Auburn alumni team will also be pretty good too). But, overall considering the troubles it seems they had getting financial support for the summer, Ot and Jon have put together a roster that gives them a chance.

    Full 12 player roster is:

G- Stevie Browning - Marshall - Don't expect Stevie to have many minutes at this point as he's just been out of high-level competitive basketball for so long compared to the other guys. But, he's a capable shooter who has fantastic chemistry with Elmore.

G- Rondale Watson - Marshall - Similarly to Stevie he probably won't get many minutes but Watson is a solid athlete who can guard other athletic guards & provide some depth.

G- Tyrus McGee - Iowa State - A former Big 12 starter McGee has played more than a decade of high-level professional basketball. Most recently he played this past season in France, his career highlights include a 2019 FIBA Eruocup Championship.

G- Xavier Munford - Rhode Island - A scorer who can get a bucket at all 3 levels, and another guy with a decade-plus of high level professional basketball experience which includes the 2016 season he spent with the Memphis Grizzlies, averaging 5.7 ppg that season for the Grizz. Since 2022 he's played with Hapoel Tel Aviv in the Israeli league.

G- Jarrod West - Marshall/Louisville - We all know what West can do. A defensive bulldog who can run the point when needed. High energy guy who will do little things to help Herd That win.

G- DeAndre Kane - Marshall/Iowa State - Most of us know what Kane can do too, but a few people on this board may have started following Herd basketball after Kane's departure. He's a big physical guard, who is able to post up smaller players, and gives Herd That some more toughness. Knows what it takes to win this tourney.

G- Jon Elmore - Marshall - Again, we all know what Jon is capable of and having a few more athletic guards to play around him I think it vital to Herd That's success. Allows Jon to focus on what he does best, score the basketball, and facilitate his teammates while spending less time expending too much energy defensively.

F-  Ryan Taylor - Marshall - Honestly, I don't know if Taylor will see the floor, but he's got a high basketball IQ and should be helpful to Ot Elmore on the sidelines.

F- Nick McGlynn - Drake - Don't know much about this one, he had a decent college career averaging 8.7 ppg and 5 boards over 127 games played.

F- JP Tokoto - UNC - Was a really nice addition to this team a year ago, and seemed to fit in well with the D'antoni style that Herd That plays with. Another playing professionally in the Israeli league.

F- Chris Cokely - UAB - A guy who gave the Herd fits when we played against him in college. Gives Herd That some inside toughness and rebounding. Still, actively playing in Europe.

F- Jacorey Williams - Arkansas/MTSU - He's been the best player in my opinion in the TBT the last couple of years. Just an absolute offensive beast. Having him back really bolsters the firepower of this team. Led Italy's best league in scoring a few years ago, currently playing in the Israeli league helping lead his team to an Israeli State Cup title with 22 points in the championship game.
