I would like the director of the Bug Green or any member of the Big Green to explain the possible question. On the Big Green site on Herd Fans letters was sent out to 3000 members in 2012 and now we have approximately 3400 members. So we increased 340 members this year, so this means for 4 years we have not increased membership. Since 2009 the BG had over 2000 members and for 7 years we increased membership by less than 1000. This means we increased approximately around 130 members per year, but we graduated how many athletes and how many alumni in this same period.
Being a sales manager, if a sales person that worked for me came in with sales figures like this I would have to let him go. Just think about this.
People have stated that donations have increased each year, but how much of that is the added price on our season ticket sales and now many actual new membership growth came in improved donations and not already increases from chapter increases.
Maybe it is time to hire a new director and his assistance and hire a professional. Just remember he is not a specialist in this area, he was a assistant basketball coach. I believe someone once said our alumni base was around 80,000, so this means we can only get about 4% of our alumni to join.
I almost forgot they were bringing in so much money they moved from the Henderson Center to City National and are now probably paying for rental space.
I would like to know if there is a place I could review the annual report of the BG for the last 10 years to see how efficient this organization is. Could someone let me know where I might see this for I was until this year a BG member.
