Nothing is certain yet, but there are now serious talks about whether or not we'll actually be playing the bowl game.

That was alluded to in the press conference by Lockette. We may not have the numbers to play "safely". A lot of the younger backups who never hit the field usually leave the program if history is any indication.

We may make history to be the first team to cancel a bowl game due to the portal and a coaching change. I wonder if Smith or Spears considered the possibility?

Regarding Cole, I am surprise he stayed as long as he did. He might see playing time in a lower college division.
