    • Thought he would be a FBS OC or start in FCS ranks as HC soon.  Maybe he will.

    • This is a good lesson about leverage.  More important to have leverage than to be right.  He would have been the head coach in Jacksonville if he didn't push the buttons and demand who he wanted to be the GM from reports.  He was a hot commodity coming off a successful run with Brady and now he has been out of the game a couple of years.

    • Lefty should jump into the HBCU HC world.  Be a great beginning for him.  Highly successful former NFL men getting first college HC job at a HBCU.  Have big success move up to a FBS HC job after.  Eddie George is next.

    • I think Chad?s finally figured out what Byron seemed to have always known, stay the heck away, getting too involved will always end up bad.

    Just come back once or twice a decade to a reunion or banquet drink a couple beers and reminisce.

    • The most important position(s) for a major professional sports team is the ownership. Taking on the HCing job at Jacksonville is not a no brainer. The ownerships there pretty much haven't known how to win since they were established in the NFL.

    • Making the move from NFL coaching to college coaching is far from a guarantee of success.  Herm Edwards had zero success at Arizona State.  Two years after he was gone, a coach with ZERO head coaching experience prior to the Arizona State job has them in the college football playoff.  And coaching your alma mater is generally a bad idea anyway.
