the possibility of blacking out games?  He said he wants ideas sent to him.  I know there has been reference made to blacking out, and I also know that he may not have the final say in the matter, but he does have great influence.  The University needs to realize the importance of not televising these games.  It is sickening to walk into the stadium and see no one there.  I could be pumped for a game all week, then see a half-empty stadium and it just kills my enthusiasm.  I do not picture Marshall football as one of those programs where people don't turn out on gamedays.  I picture MU as a leader in the College Football world.

not sure if anyone has mentioned it but I will. I think we all need to.  Thing is he is not stupid and I think this has already crossed his mind.

I'm sure it has already crossed his mind, but it may mean something for die-hard Herd fans to suggest the idea and let him know that fans support the blackout attempts.  I think this is the only way to boost attendance as it stands now.  That is without mentioning the fact of much improved competition coming to town, new conference, and coach.  I'm sure each of those things will help just a little bit (notice the sarcasm).

I know that some of the higher ups will NOT let them black them out.  They see it as a way of reaching out to those herd fans that can't come to the games.  I know,  I know.  I'm not agreeing with this.  Just saying what the logic is.  I know for a fact that Woody's father was very ill and wasn't able to go to the games.  The only way he could follow the herd was on radio and TV.  While I'm sure there are a select few die hard fans that are unable to go to the games that normally would, I think for the greater good, the games need to be blacked out; even if it makes a minority of fans unhappy.  I'd like them to be able to tape delay the games but I don't think it's feasible with the ESPN plus and CSTV contracts.
