  • in a real conf MU is in conf USA.

MU is Desperate for a game with WVU.  WVU does not need a game with MU.  In fact they have nothing to gain from this game.

Unlike MU, WVUs athletic department is self supported and needs to schedule on the needs of the university, not on the needs of MU.

Had MU not backed out of the three of the four games they had agreed to (which WVU had to buy other teams out to make room) costing WVU thousands and thousands of dollars, not to mention screwing up their schedule I say maybe 3-1, 2-1 at best.  But after that I say take a leap MU.

  • West Virginia as a state has more pressing needs then tieing the legislature up with trying to mandate a game.
MU doesnt need WVU and WVU doesnt need MU, both schools can get games with teams that they feel are better anyways.

I guess you dont feel that West Virginia as a state has more pressing needs than mandating a football game and thats why this message was moved.

  • That's what they argued years ago in Kentucky, and some other states, such as Oklahoma, etc., but the legislature prevailed, the games have been played, and both schools, and both states are better off today because of it. That is not to imply that could happen in West Virginia.
