And as far as the agreement goes, why do you people keep equating contract with agreement? Since when does anyone sign a contract BEFORE they agree to something?

Sort of like when MU supposedly "verbally agreed" to a series with WVU. There never was a "contract".
Yet, fools from Morgantown want retribution for breaking the "contract".

How ya like dem apples, pappy my boy?

  • Its all on Pastilong and Hardesty.  If wvu was smart they would fire those two knuckleheads on the spot for bungeling negotiations as bad as they did.  They've screwed up talks with Dakich and MU which in our case they go on record saying they want restitutuion for something that never was.  Those two are definately comic releif and I hope to hell our AD just moves on from those clowns and lets get to work toward building a great CUSA.

I'm over wanting to have anything to do with that outfit....and lets stop the ignorant basketball series too while we're at it.  If that game cant be played on campus screw it.

  • WVU and Maryland have been playing for years and just within the last couple of years did they sign a contract.  Before then it was just an understanding that they would play every year.  So hardesty and pastilong figured that since a border rival would keep their word that an instate rival would keep their word on an agreement also.

  • No, after the new coach came to Maryland, and started winning every year. There was talk of dropping WVU. When WVU got wind of this they decided they would like to move foward with a contract.. That was in the "State" newspaper 3, or so years ago. Not a quote, but what it amounted to.
