The one thing that the coaches that led us to being the winningest program in the 90s had in common was confidence and the ability to translate that to the play on the field. George Champ, Jim Donnan and Bob Pruett all had a ton of confidence and carried themselves with a swagger that showed that confidence. When they were able to pull off wins against tough competition by creating a great game plan, making great adjustments, making gutsy calls in crucial situations,.... they instilled a confidence in the players that somehow, some way they would find a way to win the game. The game against Louisville when Peterson was QB, the Western Michigan game in 1999, the bowl comeback against ECU, the National Championship run in 1-AA with a true freshman QB, ... these were games that exemplified the grit and determination these coaches had when it came to winning big games. They belived they would win and their players belived they would find a way to win.
Does anyone on this board see these characteristics in Mark Snyder? Does anyone here think he believes we are going to win? Do you believe his players believe he will find a way to win? Do you believe he will find a way to win? This is not something learned. You either believe in yourself or you don't. Mark Snyder has already admitted in a TV interview that he has lost his confidence. How will he get it back and who is going to give it to him?
