This website has been great to discuss the challenges we face as MU fans.  The other websites have Mods who select what they want on and delete or ban posters who disagree.  These are not good times and fans need to speak up if they disagree with the direction the program is going.

I totally agree. I'm glad we able to freely discuss Marshall football and basketball without mods coming in and deleting posts they don't agree with!!!!

Trust me, I think we'd all be happier if Marshall wasn't in this situation.  I feel bad for the moderators, I know they have opinions that are being muted (voluntarily) because it looks bad on the site.  No one is happy, and its going to get worse before it gets better.

This site seems to allow much more freedom for one to express their thoughts.  The "other" site is much more likely to strive to please those in the athletic department.  It's their site, so they can do whatever they want, I just think a lot of people are getting tired of it.

This board is run more like a college classroom where you are encouraged to think freely. Thank you Professor Wolf! It sure is nice to have a place to come and talk about MU w/o worrying about the "Blind Faith Mafia" censoring every little thing they don't agree with. Sometimes I wonder if                          Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is a mod on "Blind Faith Nation."

Wolf gets his "moderation" skills honestly.  You may not know this, but his moderation talents was the sole reason we averted the Cuban Missle Crisis.  It was Pruett, however, who led us into the Bay of Pigs fiasco.

This site gives one freedom to speak a mind of opinions without being belittled in doing so. I enjoy it here due to the respect given by Wolfman and his groupies. HerdNation ... I gave them my opinion two years ago of what was gonna happen to our program due to those in charge. I was called a basher ... fair/weather fan ... a negative poster ... then booted off the board and not allowed to come back.

As I posted in another thread lets leave whatever issues you guys have with HerdNation on HerdNation.  I dont like this site being used as voice to criticize another Herd forum.  On the flip side of that I appreciate that fact you guys enjoy the freedoms here, but believe me we do have to moderate this place as well.

I really enjoy this board. I am just more comfortable here. The other board isn't bad (well the outdated software, but that is another story), but I prefer the laid back feeling of this board. I still go over there, as they always have good informative threads, and I will occasionally post. Oh, and Wolf was cool enough to talk board software with me.

Speaking of software, did you get a chance to upload any of the mods I sent you?  Some of them are pretty sweet and very simple to install.

Yeah we have used quite a bit of them. The mouseover one is great. My favorite mod is the auto embed one. Also the one that converts urls to named links.

Good deal.  I havent tried the one that converts urls, but I guess I should install it as well.  I like the embedded youtube mod.  That one is pretty sweet.

If you do the links mod, make sure you install the mod that underlines all links as well. Can get a bit confusing at times.
