  • We have no emotion or fire.
The DBs and LBs look slow and out of position.
The DL is young and getting manhandled.
The OL is prone to mistakes and false starts.
    Special teams are a weakness
    Off skill players look ok.

We had 10 days to get ready for Memphis and looked unprepared.
We make the same mistakes over and over again.

We do not have enough good players and we are not well coached.

Bottom line...It's time for a change. We can not afford to sit around and allow this proud program collapse completely.  It took years to build up to the level of support we have now.  We can't allow that support to erode any further by "Staying the Course".
As much as I hate to say it we need to fire Mark Snyder.
Superior skill and knowledge win over fear and superstition each and every time.

  • This morning we are ranked 104th out of 119. Pretty sad state for Marshall Football.

  • I think we looked very prepared to play Memphis.  I liked the gameplan.
We lost due to players' physical and mental errors

  • Firststate, I am absolutely convinced that your television must be an entirely different technology than mine because what I saw on tv during last night's game did not resemble a well thought out gameplan.

What it did resemble was a close attempt at executing the current over cautious philosophy of just trying to not loose.

As an example, do you think that the defensive backs universally have made the decision to play 10 yards off the wide receivers?  Somehow I suspect that they have been coached to be in that position.
I don't like to lose, and that isn't so much because it is just a football game, but because defeat means the failure to reach your objective. I don't want a football player who doesn't take defeat to heart, who laughs it off with the thought, 'Oh, well, there's another Saturday.' The trouble in American life today, in business as well as in sports, is that too many people are afraid of competition. The result is that in some circles people have come to sneer at success if it costs hard work and training and sacrifice.- Knute Rockne

  • firstate is obviously either a friend or family member of Snyder's.  Only blind loyalty would keep him/her on Snyder's side at this stage of the game.
