I know this is a pipe dream, since he is the Co-Offensive Coordinator at Purdue.  Figured I'd throw the name out there.  I am guessing the only way he would come back is if the HC job was open.

How about the other guy at Purdue...........Ed Zaunbrecher? He is a former marshall/florida offensive coordinator.

  • I wonder if Chad is tired of being a player, just dreaming...
"I have heard people talk about the healing process - that sounds good - or closure," Dawson told the Los Angeles Times. "I don't know what closure is, but that area of my life will never be closed. But I feel alive again. I feel I can smile again."

Ed and Legg split OC duties, doubt they'd take a significant pay cut, IMO. I'd love to have either back, just can't see it happening though.

  • Zaunbrecher, the former offensive coordinator at Marshall, explained how a no-huddle offense, the shotgun and a preponderance of rollouts had helped the Thundering Herd become the nation's third most productive offense last year. Zaunbrecher reminded Grossman how Chad Pennington, now a backup for the Jets, and Byron Leftwich, Marshall's present quarterback, blossomed into Heisman Trophy contenders.

I actually want to see us going back to that glorious time if we can find a center who snap in the shotgun, unlike legursky.

::) Not as much of a dream as maybe you think.....not the leading candidate right now, but he could be.

If he doesn't start for the Jets next year, I hope he quits and begins to coach at Marshall. Imagine the recruiting tool that would be! Even if he was just a QB coach............

  • The OC would be more loved than the head coach.  I would love that I think he has the makings of a great coach. Would love to see it.

  • I know it won't happen, but wouldn't it be great if Bill Wilt returned to be our Defensive Line Coach. That guy can coach.
