  • Hilarious. Arkansas hung his cleats up for him and he now gets to take pot shots back for 2 million a year.
What do you call a place where the coaches are drunks, the players pistol whip local citizens and the fans mug and rob expecting mothers ? You call it - THE FLAGSHIP PROGRAM IN THE STATE OF WV!!! Ollie Luck AD

he's supposedly going to get a percentage of the $3.4m that arkansas would owe him as well. he's making out like a bandit if true.

  • That happened more quickly than I thought - and Nutt played this quite well.

Now, are the expectations at Ole Miss much different than at Arkansas?  Not sure - they essentially ran off Cutcliff after some decent success and opted for the next "genius" in Oregeron (sp?), only to end his tenure rather early.

And now - Arkansas is on the clock -- Tommy Tuberville . . . pick up your phone, Arkansas is on line one.   :)

I think the administration at Ole Miss learned a lesson ditching Cutcliffe and going after the cajun, so I think they'll have more patience with Nutt.

That said Orgeron will likely end up on either Pete Carroll's staff again or will replace Pellini at LSU, be a fierce battle for him.

Monty Kiffin may take over Nebraska, if that's the case, he will be there.

If not, Orgeron will be back in USC with Carroll.

Pellini will be introduced as NU's coach tomorrow or Wednesday.

Les Miles will have a DC opening and will be able to throw mad money at a cajun that'll help him with the in-state recruiting.

So you're sure Miles will stay at LSU?

Not so sure about that myself.  Doubt he'll go to Michigan, but if they lose to Tennessee, they'll run him out of Baton Rouge.

He'll be there a while, Michigan was the one job he would potentially leave for (sans NFL) and it looks like Kirk Ferentz is going to get that job for now. In 3-4 years when Ferentz sucks at UM, Miles could replace him then :)

I'll buy that, but what if Miles loses to Tennessee?  Things will be tough.  IF he is back, he better win every game he is supposed to win.  He will be on a very VERY short leash.  I'd get the hell out if I could....if not, I agree, get Orgeron and get the recruiting.  Because he'll need everything he can to hold on.

I'd look to leave if I were him as well, he's never "fit" with the cajuns down there, he'll always been an outsider. That said, I don't think he'll leave and adding someone like Orgeron to the staff would help.

Agreed.  He better hope for more 4th down heroics.  He's treading water but I think his life supply is about to run out.
