  • I don't quite get how they have Snyder as a 1 (change highly unlikely) but have Montgomery at Miami(OH) as a .5 (can't be touched).  Grant it, it is only a difference of .5, but still.

  • My guess is that Miami, while we beat them head to head, had a better year last year than Marshall.  therefore, they appear to already have momentum sticking with a coach that was part of the success for the past few years.  Marshall's record has been in a decline the last two years and we hired an outsider (i.e. wasn't already part of the staff previously) who has no head coach experience (I know neither does Montgomery but he was part of the previous staff).

I'm not saying I agree with it.  Just playing Devil's Advocate as a possible justification for the .5 differential.

Actually, Pokey is dead on here. M/Ohio has fairly hig expectations, but not as high as MU does. We have learned to set the bar pretty high here.

  • A big difference is that there are many more people at Cryami who are embarrassed by ANY kind of athletic success because they (and their Volvos) consider themselves to be a "public Ivy" and ABOVE anything as munadne as sports...
