  • I've read some posts on the boards about CUSA and MAC and also the attendance between the 2 conferences and sports. It's simple....CUSA is MUCH more nationally recognized than the MAC and i would rather be in it. But when it comes to on the field (flip a coin). If CUSA is better, it is so slightly. And people say you get way more at FTB games that BB. Yep that is true. But if you take away the partying in the parking lots before the games, you wouldn't have 15-18 thousand at FTB games. Yes still more but that is what drives FTB attendance. I know of LOTS of people that go to the games for ONE reason....Tailgaiting!!!! I've heard them say this and they could care less about the game. We need to be in CUSA and we need to start winning. And quit using the excuse that it is so much tougher than the MAC. They both SUCK in FTB!!!!

  • I wouldn't say they both suck in football at all.  Look at what CUSA has done against all of it's Majors this year (EXCLUDING US).  ECU especially has given us great recognition.  UCF played one hell of a game against USF, and not to mention Tulsa.  All CUSA teams are stepping up, and as for the MAC they have not been too shabby this year either.  Look at how OU played OSU and then Bowling Green and Ball State.  Both conferences have one big problem, and that is all the teams are so equal that we beat each other out of the BCS.  Because we are so low on the totum pole any loss to a conference opponent drags us out of contention for the BCS.  Which I think is total BS because there are a lot of CUSA teams that deserve to be in the BCS waaaaayyyyy more than some of these other BCS teams.  However, I look for a couple teams to rise above the rest in CUSA next year.  This will begin what I think will be a healthy growth spurt for CUSA.  I just hope we can keep up!

  • And we are how far through the season?  I would say a vast majority of our conference will be bowl elligible.  I am almost positive it will far surpass that of the MAC!  I just doubt we see our beloved Herd in that Mix!
