It won't happen until we have a schedule. The last I heard,we still had 3-4 games to fill.

3-4 is good news.  Last Monday I was told we were 6 games shy!

It's getting REALLY close to the time where you fill with whoever will play.  I would think that it's highly unlikely that we will fill with games with schools that are seen as "marquee" teams --- unless there is a "marquee" name that has a scheduling dilemma.

  • I agree I just hope that fate doesn't have it fall that way for us. Hopefully we can get a couple good games in those slots. I am not counting on marquee games just don't want to have to play a pre-conference schedule with a lot of  Rio Grande & West Liberty flavor.

I don't think we will ever see that ever again...that was a Benedict Donald's resume building plan...no real head coach or athletic director would put together a schedule like that --- definitely not our duo.  The only people who do stuff like that are schools who are no good, but want to be able to claim "20 win seasons".  Bad scheduling, bad coaching and bad administration --- that was the old skool.

I have to say, watching West Liberty would be fun. They have led the nation in scoring the past 6 years in a row. Last year they averaged about 120 points per game.
