    • My recommendations will depend upon your preferences. Do you like lighter beers (e.g., pilsners, lagers, wheat beers) or heavier stuff (e.g., stouts, porters, ales)?

    More along the line of the lighter beers.

    I'm a fan of Coors Light and Sam Adams right now.  I loathe Guiness.

    • US is king of the light-tasting blonde beers.

    Amstel Light is a great beer with old world taste.

    If you want to try a great beer between light and dark, Amber Boch can't be beat.  I love the ambers and still haven't found a non-domestic that beats its taste.  Both are great served ice cold.  Another southern domestic (Texas) is Shiner Boch, which is great for a guy wanting to expand his pilsner palate. :)

    On occasion (about like having a glass of wine), I like a slightly chilled Bass Ale or a Guiness but they're too rich for me to handle on a regular basis.

    • Shiner Bock is incredible.  That's pretty much all I drank when we went down for the bowl game.  I wish you could get it around here  :(

    • If you guys are ever in Lexington Ky go by a place called Marikkas.  The place has about 800 imported and domestic beers on the menu.  Its of Nicholasville Rd and Southland Dr.  Highly recommend it.

    Moose Head

    when I was living in Huntington alot of places had Blue Moon and Moose Head.  Thinking that moving to South Florida where people are supposed to be so much more enlightened and cultured, every place would have a wide variety of beers.  I have not found 1 place yet that has Blue Moon and and have only found 1 bar that had Moose Head that was in a bottle, not draft.  But there are alot of Irish/English brews.

    • I'm a lighter beer drinker myself, Pilsner Urquell is one that I like. Its the original pilsner beer.  Also, Labatts from Canada is pretty good as well as Amstel Light.  Heineken fresh on tap in Amsterdam is pretty good too, just not easy to run there for one when you want it. LOL  The bottled stuff we get here sucks.

    • Labatt Blue is a good Canadian Pilsner. I really like it.

    Fosters has always been one of my favorites along with Becks.

    All of the Gordon Biersch varieties are excellent US brewed light medium and dark brews.

    St. Pali Girl/St. Pali Girl Amber are excellent choices as well.

    It all really depends what you like, it's best to go to a bar that has 30+ beers on tap that lets you have free samples and just try them all until you find your personal favorite.

    Amstel Lite  #3, and the good micro brewery drafts when you can find the good ones.  We have a couple of good one here, and Wolf suggested a good one in Lexington, Ky.
