The Nunu News has a nice ring to it.

"Nunu" is the nickname of Kareem Canty, an incoming freshman hoops player at Marshall who, as a point guard, blossomed into a coveted recruit because of his ability to dish.

I guess that goes for a juicy rumor as well as a basketball.

Canty tweeted at 5:20 p.m. Sunday that Marshall would be playing Kentucky this season in a nationally televised non-conference matchup.

"December 20th tune in to Marshall vs Kentucky on espn should be fun," the tweet read.

Canty didn't need 140 characters to dish this scoop, and after it was retweeted 34 times, there wasn't a reason to delete it. Tweets are forever, which I'm sure Coach Tom Herrion and other Marshall officials have reminded student-athletes over and over the past few years.
