RICK McCANNThe Herald-DispatchClearing the notebook of several Marshall Thundering Herd men's basketball items being reported or rumored. ...Head coach Tom Herrion hasn't announced a replacement for assistant coach Jorge Fernandez, who cited family reasons for resigning in May, and now it looks as though there is another vacancy.CBSSports.com reported that Marshall director of basketball operations Mike Brown also left to take an assistant's job at New Jersey Institute of Technology, better known as NJIT.Isaiah Williams, a 6-foot-7 wing player from Newark, N.J., who sat out the 2011-12 school year at Marshall for academic reasons, signed to play at Florida junior college. The recruiting website ZagsBlog.com reported Williams has committed to Iona College for the Class of 2013, but will spend at least one year at the State College of Florida-Manatee. The Recruit Scoop also had a Twitter report about Williams leaving Marshall for a junior college.
"Herrion has said he also is tinkering with using a bigger front court featuring forwards Dennis Tinnon, Robert Goff and 6-foot-10 center Nigel Spikes."
Sounds like Herrion is optimistic Tinnon’s appeal will be successful. I doubt he’d be making plans involving Tinnon or talking publicly about it if he wasn’t expecting to have Tinnon in the line up.

not playing Cincy would be a joke. Since it was Charleston or nothing, its a great scheduling decision. Stop whining and drive an hour to see a great opponent.
