  • ThunderDent, My uncle and grandma live on SV circle and he said he doesn't have power. He works for the West Va road crew and we are going to tell him tomorrow when he gets sent out to ask for Wayne County to go help the Valley with trees and stuff.

  • In C'bus it's much the same...the storm hit here Friday at rush hour, and the drive home was "hairy" to say the least...we have Westerville city utilities, so our electricity was off only eleven hours, but many folks covered by AEP may not be back on line until Saturday...driving to church this morning traffic lights are still out at major intersections, and we have the same issues with gas and crazy-busy restaurants as in WV...and now we're getting ready for another nasty storm heading our way...so stay tuned...

  • That was the worst wind storm I have ever seen in my 40 years.  I lost 2 trees and have not had eletricity for 48 hours.  To add insult to injury, my water went out today.  No electrcity to pump the water to my subdivision.  The family headed to the inlaws, I headed to the Moose for a few cold ones and some wings.   ;D

  • Im in Bluefield, told us we will get ours back either thursday or friday. We are waiting it out in a local hotel. I work at the lowes here and we were sold out of all our generators, gas tanks, and lights at 8 am the next morning. It was a madhouse, be safe everyone!

  • I took 2 A/C units to 2 different neighbors tonight and ran extension cords from us to 3 houses across the street. We just had power crews roll in from Tennessee, Georgia and West Virginia. Hopefully they will be able to get power restored soon but word on the news is that it may not be until Tuesday.

  • 56 hours without power here!  FINALLY back on.  The inside thermostat said 89.4 when it came back on an I fired up the A/C.  The A/C has been running non-stop for 20 hours now and it's only down to 74!  It's been HOT here!

  • You are a good man bga. Your neighbors are lucky to have someone like you willing to pitch in and help.

Brian,,,, I missed both the big storms. First one that hit and destroyed so many homes in Ky. I was in Jax. This time on the road to Illinois and we just missed that bad boy. We were on 465 going around Indy when one of the wildest winds I ever saw blew up. Both me and my buddy were looking for a funnel cloud but didn't say anything about it till later. That storm stretched from Indy to Toledo.

Glad my Herd Fans friends are safe just a little inconvenienced.
