I said love but I meant in it terms of faith and belief, maybe I should have used different words....

But, call it what you want, when people say that our team is going to lose 70% of our games, it means they do not have faith or belief in our players and coaches....

And that's not disrespecting him....at least not anymore than he is disrespecting the young men wearing kelly green....

It's not disrespect to predict a less than stellar win total. It's what some of us actually think we see. And as I said, we've been closer to correct than the optimists. I'll start having faith or belief in the team again when they've earned it.

Hey, I never saw his prediction here.  I only saw it when I popped on the vine.  Jus thought it was interesting and a rare negative post when optimism is building.  I never villafied him. 

My comments regarding Flamy were in response to what MUrox (who I like and respect) said about GS posting disparaging things about MU on another board....I do not go to that board or any non herd boards on a regular basis.

If GS is still with the herd, I'm all for it...I just thought it a negative prediction.  he may well be right and as I said, if he and extra are, I'll be looking for a change.  Maybe I shouldn't have responded to what Rox said...but I do trust Rox.

I'm glad to hear GS is giving to the cause...as I am.

For the record, I have predicted Doc's record over the last two years, excluding the bowl game. I'm 21 out of 24.

What makes you think a herd team with a 2nd year QB and 16 returning starters, plus 2 guys that will probably beat out last years 1st team guys

It's always a fine line when predicting the record of your "favorite team".  If it's too optimistic, you are called a "stupid homer" and if they are guardedly pesimitic, you are told that "you aren't a real fan".

Personally, I think that if you can go down a schedule and predict losses, we are really bad or the AD has done a bad job scheduling.  I TRULY believe that we CAN win every single game on our schedule.  I know that we'll have to bring our "A-game" in several....but I think we are going to be a better team, playing a weaker schedule than last year's team...but that's just me.  I don't think that anyone who disagrees with me is wrong...I just think that all the signs are there for this to be a pretty good year.

I never had any probs with GS and he has had a decent record picking in the past...but it's just that, the past.  If he wants to take "5 or less" and give me "6 or more" total wins in 2012-13, I'll wager a $500 check to the QB Club to be paid the day after the final game. 

Go D A M N Herd!  I love this team, its attitude and I love their chances of "breaking out" this year!  Therefore, I'll give him one more win than he thinks they will end up with.

Huff we share the opinion of one another.  Let's hope you are as apathetic about my opinion of you as I am of your opinion.  I do find it funny you are worrying about my hospitality to an individual who really doesn't participate here.  Surely you aren't suggesting my hospitality is the reason he not only doesn't moderate but really doesn't participate.  You should thank me, MU thread got GS to post with us again

Bison what I don't get is that in person and tailgating, I think you're a hell off guy, but on here at times you appear to relay a different persona. I honestly don't believe that if you knew that Steve would be at a tailgate that you would've printed off his prediction and brought it through for everyone to see, I believe you're above that, and I am no way implying that you're a "keyboard badass."

IMO, you pulled that posted over here to bring up the fact that it was from Steve (a former mod), and that is where I believe you were in the wrong. Ask you a question, if Steve was not a former mod, would you have brought it over?

I'll admit calling you an ass on the main forum was wrong, but I'll admit that it appeared that you were calling someone out and attempting to put someone down and that aggravates on here and off here.

Huff, I think we've met a few times, not sure you've spent enough time with me to know, but yes you'd be right I am a hell of a guy.

You'd be right about not printing the predictions out and bringing them, that seems silly to me and a wast of time.  That said, I don't get the big deal and I certainly think it's likely I'd bring it up for discussion with him...hell, they're his predictions he doesn't run from them, he says he put them here I take him at his word.  Hell, I didn't put his tax returns over here, I brought a link over that he had put on the vine on the internet for all to see that I just noticed.  He's a long time (as long as i can remember being on the net, like late 90s) poster and former modertor that has dropped off the face of the earth on herd boards.  I think most know him, most like him, most remember him I thought it was interesting or worthy of discussion the negative outlook from one of our hard core fans.  Hell, for all I knew Steve would never see the link as I didn't think he came around here.

I can see why Steve would be upset after my comments on turning on the team like flamy after reading what Rox reported on his posts.  He cleared the air as set me straight.


What I don't get is why anyone else is upset about me bringing a link here.....like I said, it's his prediction and he doesn't run from it and hell, he my well be right.

I think some are too sensitive around here.  We're discussing sports.  I don't know who you guys discuss with but sometimes when me and my friends discuss sports we may tell each other "you're crazy" "your full of ..."...etc etc "what the ...are you talking about" that sort of thing.  This is an informal forum, we just type...what's the difference as long as we aren't berating each other or badgering one another.
