'Tis the season for toasting.

With New Year's Eve looming only one night away, many people will play the role of toastmaster and many more will raise a glass in recognition.

It is that time of year.

Maybe the glass will be filled with frothy punch -- spiked or otherwise -- at a holiday soiree. Perhaps, it will be a cocktail. And, most certainly, the bubbly is bound to flow as the clock nears midnight Monday evening and 2012 becomes a memory.

I actually like reading Landon's columns. But this is the best he has ever written IMO. You can be a huge Herd fan but don't have to drink the Kool-aid every single year. Like he said, it is always because a new coach comes along. Or a new 4 star recruit. And there will ALWAYS be a new hyped recruit or something to give hope. But how bout just freaking WINNING first before they are annointed as a great team again? The hype gets old....PROVE IT and i will be happy!!!!!! I'm tired of lip service!!!! Every year is like a broken record if you go back for the last 8 years. They ALL sound the same. Am i hopeful next year? YES!!!! BUT PROVE IT FIRST!!!!

I also enjoy Chuck's articles and understand he is doing his job by having people that either love or hate him but you always read him...this is a great article and spot on.
