  • Well, I changed my mind and backed out on everyone. Well I've had another change of heart...

OK fellers, I'm dragging this jewel back out for you. Here's the deal. I converted my mancave into a toy room for the kids. All of my stuff us boxed up, collecting dust, and doing me no good. After paying $150 per month to do crossfit in an affiliate gym for 2+ years, I've decided to get rid of some stuff and use the cash to convert my garage into my own private crossfit gym.

Last time when I did this, I had a ton of pm's asking if I have this, or if I have that, what I'd take for this, and what I'd take for that, and where could we meet to make purchases, etc. This time, I have decided to do it by having an "invitation only yard sale".

Here's how it's going to work... I'm going to give you guys an email address, and you email me if your interested in coming and looking at what I have to offer. I will email you back with the day of the sale and directions to my house. Does this seem like it would be easier to you guys? Please let me know if you have any better ideas. I'm open to suggestions.

On top of the Marshall collectibles, I'm also going to be trying to sell a couple of guitars, an amp, golf clubs, etc...

The email address if you are interested is...

They are 2009 Taylormade Burner 4-AW, TM Burner woods, TM Burner rescue, and an Oddysey White hot mallet putter. I'm selling it all to buy equipment to convert my garage into a private CrossFit gym. After 2 1/2 years, I was tired of paying $150/month CF gym membership fees.

  • Lol, we are doing the same thing, sort of. Building a personal gym. The YMCA is ridiculous in its cost and not very accessible for us so we figured we can do it at home. Well good luck with the sale. I don't need any of those clubs or I would jump all over it.

It got ridiculous. The 150 a month was just for myself. It would have been well over 200/month if my wife wanted to join with me. After 2 1/2 years, I know and can do most of the movements so the training was no longer needed. It was as if I was paying to have friends after a while. Seeing as how I can equip my own gym with brand new equipment for a little more than one years membership, I decided to go for it.

You obviously have never met an obsessed CrossFitter... CrossFit isn't an exercise program. CrossFit is an addiction. It's fitness crack. The more pain you inflict on yourself, the more you love it. For more than two years, I did it at an affiliate six days a week, and the one day a week that I took off, I was bored and feigning for more...

You wouldn't know where to start when it comes to using half of the stuff that will be in my garage. There won't be elliptical machines, mirrors, and dumbbells, my friend. There will be weighted vests, sand bags, slam balls, atlas stones, etc. I'm currently driving around with a 300+ pound front end loader tire in the bed of my truck waiting for the weather to break so I can clean it up and drain the stagnant water out of it. You still want me to let you know when I put it up for sale? It's not gonna happen, but would any of that stuff still interest you?

  • If I buy something can I workout in your gym? Price tag is the only thing preventing me from joining a crossfit gym.

You could stop by and workout for free if you'd like, but I'd have to be very careful. I couldn't "instruct" you and show you how to do the movements (and many of them are very technical) without being a certified instructor. It really would not be advisable unless you went to a licensed affiliate box for a while so you could learn how to properly do the movements. It's VERY EASY to get hurt doing the stuff without getting proper training first.

If CrossFit HQ thought I was calling my self an "affiliate" or "training" people OR charging people, without being a certified instructor or having an affiliate license, I could get into big time trouble. They don't take that stuff lightly. I probably shouldn't even use their name when referring to what I'm making in my garage. I probably should just say I'm building a "hardcore gym" or something like that. LOL. They're anal about people using the crossfit name.

  • Does this sale only matter for people that can stop by your place?  I live in the Chicago area and would absolutely love to have the Danbury Stadium replica, mini helmets (I have some already), helmet decals and championship poster, all depending on price, of course.

I have never shipped anything. Wouldn't know how to go about pricing and shipping.
