HUNTINGTON — When Marshall and Rice play in Conference USA, you can usually count on a couple of things.
 
One, the game is usually close, as five of the nine meetings between the two schools have been settled by five points or less.
 
Two, Marshall usually finds a way to get the win.
 
Tonight, both of those happened once again.
 
In a game with a season high 21 lead changes and 11 ties, the Marshall men’s basketball team sank 10-of-11 free throws in the final nine minutes of the game to defeat Rice for the fourth-straight time, 71-70, Wednesday night at the Cam Henderson Center.
