Budget cuts

  • tomblin just said "Public schools" would not be subject to the 7.5% budget cuts. Does that include higher education?

  • I believe Higher Ed. Is a part of the cuts. There have been several attempts from the HEPC and the universities to ask the state to reconsider however at this time they are still set to be cut. I believe student government has even attempted to get a petition together to ask that it not be cut.

    I would say no because we need to help wvu get out of the red.

  • Higher Ed has been told to expect the 7.5% cuts, but also to not pass that 7.5% on to students in terms of tuition.
