    • UCF extends contract for Jones through 2018

    ORLANDO, Fla. -- After leading the UCF men's basketball program to three consecutive 20-win seasons, head coach Donnie Jones signed a contract extension through 2018.

    UCF athletic director Todd Stansbury announced the extension Friday. The agreement adds three years to Jones' current contract.

    Jones is a Point Pleasant, W.Va., native and former Marshall University head coach.

    The Knights move this year from Conference USA to the new American Athletic Conference.
