Topic: ECU thumping FAU

I fully realize it is probably just a pipe dream or wishful thinking, but the school I will follow the closest this season other than the Herd, will undoubtedly be ECU.  Each and every conference game I will be hoping for a loss!!! I know it is probably just a Pipe Dream/ wishful thinking, but I can sure dream!!! The go to Middle Tennessee just like us, and the miss Rice just like us.  Sucks how good they have it, but I am glad we miss Rice as well.  They do host Tulsa as allowed to us traveling to that game.  That could be the one advantage they have over us, and the difference in our conference records when they come to Huntington in November.  I believe that if that is the case, as long as we take care of business against them, we would each have 1 loss with Head to Head being the tie breaker, going to us!! 

Here's hoping we run the table before we play them, and beat them so bad they wish they had stayed home!! Go Herd!!

No.  I was there.  Their offense isn't what it was last year.  Carden lives and dies by Hardy and their back isn't great.  Plus, their D line is fat and out of shape.  They were clearly the better team, but I was totally unimpressed with ECU.

FAU is not that bad of a team. They just don't have much of an offense. Most of ECU's points were set up on special team breakdowns and turnovers.

FAU has a decent defense, but when you only complete one pass in the first 25 minutes and it is to the other team you don't stand a chance in winning.

Yeah.  I thought the FAU D was OK, but mostly it was a complete lack of explosiveness on the part of ECU's offense.  Agree re FAU offense.  Not good AT ALL, and NOT because ECU is playing defense, they are not.  I am completely unimpressed with ECU.

Did anyone see ECU's punt coverage...4 guys behind the return man when the punt was caught?  Wow...they might be as bad as we were on kick coverage last year.

FAU was really really bad. I believe ECU is better than they played. It looked like ECU wasn't trying and they still blew them out

and, ECU's D Line are a bunch of fatbodies.  they'll be puking at the end of 2 quarters in our game.
