Topic: Hall of fame weekend/Marcello Lajterman Memorial Golf Tournament

On Friday September 6th (Hall of fame Weekend/Gardner Webb Game) there is going to be a special golf outing (team of four scramble) held at Twin Silos in Lavalette in memory of Marcel Lajterman (Marshall Kicker) that perished in the 1970 plane crash. If you were at last years memorial, you may remember his brother Mo that was the guest speaker at the event. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit both athletic and academic endowments at Marshall University. Knowing there are a lot of golfers on this site, I thought I'd pass the word along. They are only taking a limited number of teams and the spots are going fast. Less than 10 team spots were available as of earlier today. Here are some links if you are interested in putting together a team. They have put together some outstanding prizes and have many special guests that are expected to attend. If you want more detailed information on prizes/guest speakers etc just shoot me a PM and I can get you the contact info that has all the details of the tournament.
