Topic: Can Shuler become the next Wes Welker???...

Watching the game last night and seeing the plays that Welker made (and noting that his stats were similar to TS's numbers vs. Miami), and I was wondering if he can perhaps play the same kind of role at the next level...a lack of size and speed hasn't kept Welker from having a remarkable career...

I will answer. Yes I see it as a strong possibility. I'd rather see him be the first Shuler though. He just has to maintain that work ethic and dedication to be the best. Perhaps like a Troy Brown. Set your mind to it, one can accomplish great things. He has the right drive and attitude from what I read.

I don't know that he has quite the same explosiveness/shiftiness of a Troy Brown, but as others have said, he definitely has the drive and the very dependable hands.  If he gets in the right system, definitely.

Yeah he has played well so far against probably bigger corners than him and he's a dependable guy. I'm glad Furrey is here since he has NFL experiance and can help him alot and our other wideouts.
