For some reason, during the game, I thought back to 2000 when we were 2-4 after losing 42-0 to Toledo...and the genesis of the whole "rubber band thing" and how the lessons learned through adversity took us to the MAC championship and MCB win over UC...I kind of think that in some ways the lessons learned at OU, VPI, and MTSU helped bring us to 59-28 today...sometimes, you need to take a step back to move forward...and the team leaders took those disasters to heart and dedicated themselves to running the table and exorcising some significant demons at the same time...all I know is that there was some serious Herd swagger that I haven't seen in nearly ten years...
