  • Lifetime basketball fan and short time nonbasketball fan.  I'm really disturbed with what is going on right now.  Not a fan in firing someone.  Just saying I didn't know they played today.  I'm not sure when contract is up.  But I just simply don't care after last year and what has been shown this year.  I know there is some exciting players, but still seems to be some cancer in the dugout.

  • I said I don't call players out. Here it is, to win sit Elijah Pittman. I actully liked the idea of this team too... But after I saw what this team can do without him on the court I wouldn't put him out there the rest of the year. Canty is your leader, Thomas is your star and everyone else plays roles well. With Pittman, that can't happen.

Bob I forgot, did we even have a bball game? who did we play? how bad did we get beat? geeez! I have lost all faith in Herrion as a coach. I'm still hoping for the best from our team, but expecting the worse because of Herrion..

  • We always want to crucify our best player it seems. First Kane, now Pittman.

Herrion is the one that needs to go, period. I am really upset that I paid over $200 for our capital classic tix and will have to go see this team in person at this point. Unbelievable. Etsu...Stephen Austin. We schedule nothing but cupcakes in an attempt tobsave herrions job and he is still going to get fired, or should be. Get someone in here who has actually shown a pattern of winning and improving from year to year.

If Cantys tweet is directed where I think it is, yes crucify. Pittman is a helluva scorer when he is hot. But that team I saw against WKU knew Canty was the leader and Thomas was the star. If that game didn't happen I might be telling you something different. I know what I saw that night

  • True that Scotty. I officially recant my position and agree with you. Looks like Pittman may be the problem. However is herrion doesn't fix it, then he is the problem.

  • Not to defend, and we should have won, but you think Stephen F Austin is a cupcake?

  • Yes they are a cupcake in a terrible conference that wins 27 games via that and gets NCAA bids for that reason. We should never lose to that team.

  • I forgot the game was on but I saw the very end of the game on computer. Our "D" is a weak link, other teams can score way too easy(not to mention foul trouble). Until Herrion provides other options besides man to man we are going to go down the same road.   Game plan and make decisions based on what you are seeing rather than adhering to a philosophy. If you have "A" type players you can set the agenda, but we don't so for crying out loud change the D up now and then.

  • SF Austin won 27 LAST YEAR! They lost 4 senior starters and their coach from that team. There was no excuse for losing that game.

  • Herrion and Pittman both need to be gone. The program will not move forward until that happens.

And I agree with that 100%. After the antics of his family last game I would have had a hard
Look to see if he makes a trip at all. Disappointed he did

  • ETSU defeated SAU several days after SAU defeated us.  This team will face a zone defense all year long.  No consistent outside shooters.

  • Let's give all the youth a chance to gel and play together, still 20 or so games and developing to do.

The problem shilolg is the youth has gelled. At the WKU game after an ejection players were communicating and played hard for each other. Thomas slashed, Canty distributed and played QB. Manning, Goard, Sene, Smith, Taylor and co. Played their roles. Everything was moving... I didn't watch yesterday's game

                            Min    FG.    3pt.   Ft.                                         To
    Elijah Pittman, F   28   4-14   2-12   6-12   0   2   2   0   0   0   2   3   16

I have to think that 2-12 killed the flow... And as I said previously if he was hot many would be saying how great he played. To me there is a square peg in an otherwise round hole board. Is him having a good game every other game worth it plus the attitude? That's not up to me to decide.
