I've seen at least four games: Kansas, NTSU, UTEP, and Tulane come to mind, which is a pretty good sample...
McHargue reminds me a lot of Tettleton, especially since he also has been less of a two-way threat this year than what I saw last year (although some of that had to do with the previous DC)...he certainly was pretty ordinary vs. Tulane, and their wideouts certainly don't compare to ECU's...Charles Ross, on the other hand, is very good...if we can bottle him up we can turn McHargue into Shane Carden...defensively, they certainly were hammered at NTSU, and their other opponents didn't present a lot of weapons, so it's hard to say...I just think that we're much faster at every position, and the home field will be a titanic advantage...the anticipated cold weather won't help the Owls, either...I say 66-24...

I think nerves will play a factor early. The first half will be much closer with MU pulling away in the second half.

Rice is a VERY PHYSICAL team. It would be wise not to take them lightly. If we can play defense like we did against ECU, they won't have a chance. Their offense is grounded around their running game, period.

On the defensive side, theythey are porous against the rush and one of the best pass defenses we have sseen, maybe THE BEST pass defense and thats no joke. Better tthan Vtech.

So we better be able to run the ball on offense snd stop the run on defense or this will be a close game. I would say 35-17 MU, pulling away in the 4th.

Rice's tall receiver, Jordan Taylor, is a nice player.

The defensive tackle, No. 56, is stout. He had a heck of a game vs. Tulane.

No, that's why I wanted Tulane....We better abandon that nickel defense and get a rotation going in the 2nd qtr....That's how MTSU beat us....That's how Auburn beat Alabama...

They run a 100 rushing plays into your defense, in hurry up mode, and don't let you substitute....start gashing you for 6, 8, 17, 11, 6....all the way down the field....It's also the offense that "travels" best...hands down...

If we overlook their pass defense, it would be a mistake. We won't be able to throw and catch up if we get behind. Those guys are smart, fast, and ball hawks

They run alot of the option offense so the D needs to stuff the running lanes and keep track of the QB and RB and don't let them gash us.

Nobody better be thinking this is a coronation ball.  This will be a tough game against one of the better teams we have faced.

I know McHargue is a player.  They should have beaten us last year.  We need to bring the same intensity as last week.

they may play up to their capabilities better but I would say ECU easily the better team but some say its all about matchups. Our run D cant have a MT type afternoon...that's all. I would also say we have the next to best passing attack they have seen if TAM is indeed better.
