  • There's a reason Mark Jackson was let go of the Warriors following three seasons of what most consider some fairly robust success. I look at that GS roster, and I see a whole-lotta reason for their front office to be making that kind of ballsy move after seeing what just transpired in LA over the last week or so. I don't perceive MD as a San Francisco kinda guy, but then again, he wasn't really a NY or LA kinda guy either. I'm strictly looking at the talent they've got there, and thinking that D'Antoni could accomplish something special with that collection.

They're going to regret letting Mark Jackson go, and while there is some talent there, there are holes as well, including Bogut who while talented doesn't live up to it.  The ownership and management are meddlesome as well.  Mike D. can do better.  He shouldn't jump at the first opportunity.

  • The way the whole thing went down with us hiring DD and then MD resigning from the Lakers just makes me believe that MD will end up coaching another NBA team.  Just too much money to turn your back on.  However, after seeing Dan D'Antoni's press conference announcing him as the new head coach, I am absolutely thrilled with the hire.  No doubt in my mind that DD will succeed at Marshall, and that Mike D will end up following Dan as coach here when Dan does eventually retire.

  • I don't see it...I haven't heard his name mentioned as a candidate...moreover, I think that after two high-stress, high-profile jobs he might want to take a TNT studio gig (or something similar)...
