The Seattle Seahawks continued to stockpile players at perceived positions of need in the latter rounds of the 2014 NFL draft, selecting tackle Garrett Scott No. 199 overall.

The Hawks' selection of Garrett Scott adds more depth along the offensive line. Scott is the second tackle selected by the Seahawks after they took Missouri’s Justin Britt at the end of the second round on Friday. Scott is listed at 6-foot-5 and 295 pounds.

Scott told reporters he was “very athletic” — he managed a 33 1/2-inch vertical at his pro day — and versatile, adding that he can play any position along the line. He played at every spot except center for the Thundering Herd during his college career, starting at both left and right tackle for an offense that averaged over 500 yards per game in 2013.

After losing both right tackle Breno Giacomini and guard/tackle Paul McQuistan via free agency, the offensive line was viewed by many experts to be a group Seattle would restock through the draft.
