    HUNTINGTON -- Garrett Scott from the Marshall Thundering Herd was one of 11 players with Conference USA connections taken in the NFL Draft.

    Nine of the drafted players participated in C-USA last season while two are from incoming member Western Kentucky.

    Scott, an offensive tackle, went to the Seattle Seahawks in the sixth round.

    He graded 99 percent on 1,007 snaps last season for the Thundering Herd with an 82 percent success rate and 56 knock-down blocks.

    Phillip Gaines, CB, Rice, third round (87), Kansas City Chiefs.

    Justin Ellis, DT, Louisiana Tech, fourth round (107), Oakland Raiders.

    Ryan Grant, WR, Tulane, fifth round (142), Washington Redskins.

    Keith Reaser, CB, Florida Atlantic, fifth round (170), San Francisco 49ers.

    Jimmy Staten, DT, Middle Tennessee, fifth round (172), Seattle Seahawks.

    Garrett Scott, OT, Marshall, sixth round (199), Seattle Seahawks.

    Andrew Jackson, LB, Western Kentucky, sixth round (203), Indianapolis Colts.

    IK Enemkpali, DE, Louisiana Tech, sixth round (210), N.Y. Jets.

    Randell Johnson, LB, Florida Atlantic, seventh round (221), Buffalo Bills.
