Topic: If you trust the computers, they say it's a four horse race [graphic]

Listed below is each horse with its remaining opponents in order of their latest Massey Composite ranking.



One of the major takeaways is that if you think ECU is a viable contender by virtue of the computers' numbers, you're hard pressed to retain any sort of consistency if you discount Colorado State and Boise State. Yes. That's two-loss Boise. But based on these numbers, it seems the computers don't ding Boise to any degree for the Ole Miss loss. Seems logical, then, that we need to be actively cheering for Ole Miss' opponents from here on out.

While on its face, it appears there's only 3 "big" games left in the season...

- UCF/ECU
- BYU/Boise St
- Utah St/Boise St

...what's easily overlooked is, if any of these teams underperform in these last weeks, THAT TOO will almost certainly have an effect, at least where the computers are concerned. So, no one can let off the proverbial gas pedal at this point and think that they can cruise.

Another thing that's easily forgotten about the computers, but I allude to it above, is that you can't just look ahead, you also have to look behind--Boise can be hurt by Air Force stumbling just as ECU can be hurt by South Carolina weakening. So, several moving parts to consider as long as we assume that the computers and the Chosen 12 are going to think similarly.

_sturt_ I appreciate your work.  I'm personally thankful that the computers won't have the final say (I say that now and might change my mind come December 7th  :D)

Call me crazy (I know many will) but I'm still holding out that if the Herd runs the table that there will be a seat for our beloved team in the Final Four!
