You can almost see why the Atlantic Coast Conference poached the Big East until it couldn't survive anymore. Conference USA is proving to the American Athletic Conference why you can't poach teams from a conference and still leave it any possibility of surviving, because it will come back to bite you.

C-USA has a genuine contender in Marshall to get the prized "New Years Six" slot that puts the highest ranked Group of 5 team into the Peach Bowl this year. There are a lot of complaints about Marshall's schedule, but the fact of the matter is if a team runs the table, they deserve a shot in the top bowl available.
