Agreed! They need to cut down on penalties and giving up the big play. The Aggies can win this game and make for a great season all around for us :)

Illinois isn't a great example obviously but it is usually a different level of athletes.

Maybe in the past, but not from what I've seen of them lately. Illinois is just another team riding the train of the Big Ten.

there are numerous teams from the so called big boy leagues that wouldn't do well vs top Go5 teams esp if they had to play anywhere other than at home with their refs which is the usual during OOC games. Penn St is another Big 10 example that isn't all that good. Had their hands full with Akron and lost to Houston 3 yrs back in a bowl game. Indiana and Maryland same deal. Better than Rice maybe but that's about it. Kentucky and Vanndy same thing most yrs. PAC 12 has their pitiful teams as does the ACC. The diff is not all that much if you're talking Toledo, Boise, Marshall, ECU etc etc.

Agree. That's why the so call big boy teams, like WVU want no part of Marshall. Aggies are starting to open it up with a 15 point lead.

Certainly things have changed since WVU ran off Bill Stewart, a coach who won 70% of his games and gave the team to Holgerson.
They were so arrogant when Holgerson took Stewart's players and ran the score up on Clemson in that Bowl...They really believed that Holgerson was a genius, lol....

Since that year, Holgerson has had 18 wins and 20 losses....0-2 in bowl games...

At my mom's, having to contain my enthusiasm for A&M... she's one of those who thinks you root for whatever team is most local... I think it's a combination of a generational thing and a cultural thing, b/c she talks about all of the years that WVU was disregarded, in the shadow of Penn State and Pitt... remember the old Warner-Lambert Trophy thing for the best Eastern football team back-when? She even feels that Kentucky was disregarded... that schools drawing students from Appalachia have always been so easily dismissed in comparison to other universities around the country.

Let your mom know that WVU is sitting at 42% in state enrollment and falling.  They are not focused on educating Appalachians.

False, Herd won, close game. Houston w/o broke leg on band wagon. 70pts. was in the lone star. I was their. Met herdmeister after that game. Herd has never lost to a team from Texas @ the Joan.

I didn't catch "came in"...I was talking about Sumlin and Keenum's last game we played them....

Yeah, I remember that game in Huntington.....We had a D-lineman that tore them up....I believe Keenum was knocked out of the game...

I also think that was the game that their WR broke his leg on our athletic cart....
