  • Rode down from the Tampa area ,where we live, with Florida Herd Fan. We went to the team hotel to pick up a res. parking pass that a poster here secured for us . Thanks John. WE found our spot and then ate at the Boca Ale House where we met several Herd Fans and had a great time talking with them.

Back to the lot and tailgated with fellow Herd Fans in the Orange Lot. Great folks all around. I met Jasperse's Dad who parked beside us. Remember Skeetter , who blocked the shot that Bruce Morris made from 92 feet? He was passing by and stop to tailgate. Good food and conversation all around.

Made it to the stadium where I sat in sec 124 row c. I was looking right at the 1 yard line. So, several scores were right in front of me. The 93 KO TD , I watched come all the way up the field toward me then right into my end zone ! It was great ! The band was behind us and the Pom Pom Girls Cheerleaders were in front of us down on the field. Lot of spirit in the air. It was Great ! I watched the replay this morning and saw myself on TV 3 times LOL.

My first reaction to this bowl was negative. I wanted to go to Dallas ( myself too not just the team ) and play a Big 10 team and BEAT them . When it was all said and done, It was a good time for the fans , special for the players from Florida being in front of friends, family and Herd Fans from all over. As always it was fun to be there in person especially for the final time to see some future Herd legends in their last game. Thanks for the memories seniors.
