Overextended on the part of ESPN and everyone saw it. Every "empire" falls. I don't see any way out of it for them other than to try and renogitiate some of their contracts. I don't know enough about it to know if that is even a possibility. I will add that having a poor product or one that makes people turn the channel is not a good thing either. They've become the MSNBC of the sports world with all of their political crap. They should just stick to sports. It is what they did well and have the potential to do well again.
