  • Interesting gimmick but a better option would be to actually design a shoe that isnt crap

  • Not a new concept. The idea has been around for years. My company was approached by a start up from Ft. Collins, Co about 5 years ago to develop a shoe for diabetics that provided specific information that could be downloaded into a computer, either at home or by their clinician. Uhnfortunately at the time, the RD costs were out of our league. Nike considered the idea at one time for a shoe specifically geared to the native american population since they have a high incidence of diabetes.

Probably the worst pair of shoes that I have ever had were some Under Armour shoes. Pure crap that killed my feet. Wife bought a pair around the same time and they were crap as well. We threw them away.  Uncomfortable. Junk. I think their shoes appear to be getting better.

For my money and foot Asics and Reeboks have served me very well.

UA has had crap in the past but they've recently hired some folks away from Adidas and Nike to revamp their product line and they now have a much higher quality shoe. At least in the basketball line.
