  • Coach told me one time that he figured the wheels would come off at some time but that wasn't going to deter their efforts.  I tell you 2x  not making excuses but it is really hard to win on the road in conference play.  You can ask any of the number ones this year and they would agree.  What bothers me is that it seems the Herd gets homered everywhere they go.  I don't know if it is poor technique or what but our guys get into foul trouble in just about every road game.  Perhaps this new hand checking rule has had caused problems, but I see teams come into the Cam and they get away with murder yet Taylor brushes against it someone and he gets called.  I hope to get to practice on Tuesday and it will be interesting to hear coach's take on this weekend.  I am still hanging in there if we take care of business this week like I know we can we should get a bye.  I am just not sure we can win the tourney in Birmingham.  That will be a tall order.  We are still short about two more quality players coming off the bench.  I feel so bad for Justin Edmonds.  He is such a great kid and has shown a lot of class and courage on how he has handled his injuries and lack of playing time.  If they give a courage award at the end of the season he should get it hands down.

I plan to be there Tuesday as well. I agree with what you say. Taylor just can't stay out of foul trouble. Been that way for 3 years.
2 big games this week, IF we win them both we will be a 2 seed. We would get the tie breaker with MTSU due to wins over both La Tech and ODU.

oh, I'm still with them.  we did lay an egg down there and I do agree it's tough to win on the road and we had two tough ones in that Thursday - Sat stretch.  The disappointing thing to me is the road loss with MTSU missing really good players.  I really hope we win two at home and get the bye and hit the tourney on an upswing.

I, along with many others, will be heading to Birmingham next week regardless of the seeding, although I hope for a #2. This tournament will be absolutely wide open. Unlike any CUSA tournament in years.
