    • Bill Cubit--became interim coach when Tim Beckman got canned...coached Illini to 5-7/2-6...given two-year extension...fired by new AD on his first day on the job...WTF???...

    •  Or they might want to coach who is a proven recruiter and who has proven he can turn around a program that was in the celler for a while.  I don't think Doc would go to a train wreck of  a program like that though,  especially this late in the game.
