  • Students group storms administration building, refuse to leave until "unconditional demands" are met.  University president sends out VP with message to leave or be arrested and expelled.

    Check out this video.  Finally a university president with some intestinal fortitude.



    The students may have some legitimate grievances, but the methods are unreasonable. Hold them to reasonable legal standards and standards of student conduct and the consequences of violating them, and the tactics end.  Best comments:

    "We will be happy to give you the opportunity to go to jail for your beliefs."

    "What do you mean by dismissed from the university?"  Answer: "You will be expelled."
    "On rainy days, the early justices would enliven case conferences with wine. On other days, even if the sun was shining, Chief Justice John Marshall would order wine anyway, saying, 'Our jurisdiction is so vast that it must be raining somewhere.' "
