  • Update, I ran into Woody "Woodrow" Woodrum today he looks great and feels much better. Woodrow hopes to be back on the scene sometime next year. For personal reasons, I ask Woodrow if it was OK to give Herd Fans an update and let every know he's OK.

  • That is good to hear.  I don't know him, but I knew you and him were buddies.  He always seemed like a good guy.

I gotta say for a semi-celebrity around here, Woody will never fail to acknowledge a fan, say hi, discuss Marshall or about anything.  I've seen him stop and wave to kids during the broadcasts around the stadium.  He's just a good guy.  Sometimes the propaganda gets a little thick, but you instantly can tell he just loves everything Marshall and has dedicated his life to serving the University in some capacity.

Well said. I've known Woody for many years. I truly believe he bleeds green. I last saw him early in the summer. I'm glad to hear he is getting healthy again.

  • Happy to say, I worked in the M-Club years ago and was able to award Woody an M-Club blanket, which was much deserved, before the blanket program was discontinued.  Woody has done so much for this university which most people don't know about.  Woody is a truly good guy.
Retired 10 years early to follow Herd sports.
Those 10 years have been marvelous.
