With I-Phones, I-Pads, I=Mac laptop (wife), I-Mac Desktop (me), we both use Calendar for appointments, etc. Wife uses notes = reminder for specific reminders in addition to calendar.
All devices sync with each other as changes are made. It comes to other devices as a +1 message to accept and therefore be aware, once accepted, goes on that device calendar.
I think I said that stuff right, it was awkward for me at first, but now works great.
