WKU punks didn't need all the calls. They weren't going to lose with Penava out of the game. Bunch of crybabies at every call against them. like football no class.

That officiating crew should never be allowed back in the Cam.

If we can't play I-A ball with Penava out we should just give up. He may be out a few more games or a month. Not refs fault. Burks Elmore and others need to step up.

Elmore's game is pretty weak.

We have more problems than Peneva and Refs.

Those things may well be, but it shouldn't be 2 minutes left before they get an out-of-bounds correct, missing foul calls on both ends all night and throwin' fukin' T's left and right at the Herd.

Yep. The refs, WKU, the state of WV, ESPN, Fox Sports, WVU, the mafia, UCF, everybody... everybody is always cheating and trying to hold poor Marshall down... our fan base never ceases to amaze me.

I think the refs can sway a game in one direction or the other but when its a 25 point blow out , what reason would they have ? We got thumped , refs or no refs.

The refs didn't beat us. But that one older ref was about as bad as it can get.

I think the refs did mentally take MU out of the game. The 2 early T’s and Penava getting hurt really seemed to set the tone. What is the beef that the head official on that crew has with Danny? I’m pretty sure he’s the same guy who threw Danny out at ODU last year and T’d him up a time or 2 at home last year. Some of the calls he called against MU looked pretty obvious and he seems smug about them. He reminds me of the Higgins guy that seems to have it in for UK.

+1000 Reading comprehension seems low in this thread. We probably lose that one even with a healthy Penava. We got blown out and the refs didn't cost us the game - I never said they did. Did they "set the tone" with that garbage ? Absolutely.

I never said they cost MU the game neither, but they did definitely help to set the tone early.

As West said in the post game WKU had already busted us in the mouth and I don't think we would of won even if the officiating had not been questionable. With that being said, I have no clue how Mike Stuart was a final four ref. He has done several of our games and always seems to have an "ego" problem.

Tonight I thought he was very unprofessional. Not because of the T's. but how he carried himself the rest of the game.

Marshall will be fine.  One thing that continues to blow my mind is Milan.  He is a great kid but honestly what does he bring you?  Williams does every thing better.  Rebounds, Spreads the floor, can shoot.  I can go on and on.

He stuck out his chest when he made a few of those calls, and smirked at others. The man acted as though he wanted all of the attention on himself. He’s calling a CUSA game on a Saturday...he’s not that important and he’s terrible at his job (at least he was tonight). He flat out stole that game check tonight...

herdorbust, I sat next to a few young WKU fans at the game.  One of them pointed out to me around the time of the first technical that they have seen that ref several times at games in Bowling Green and he is "horrible".  Noted that the ref has "rabbit ears" and reacts too much to fans, etc.  Definitely is affected by crowd reactions, coaches, etc., and loses sight of doing his job.  Sign of a terrible ref, so to speak. 

Can't believe that throughout the season that coaches don't have some way of evaluating officials' work, and those evaluations eventually are analyzed by league officials in charge of officiating.  If this guy's game tonight is typical of his work product, how in blazes does he continue to get games in CUSA??
