  • Someone needs to pay for all these things.........Marshall does not have the money to do everything on it's wish list. Not unless more give a whole lot more.........

I'm sure the money we waste on baseball could be well spent on the basketball program.

  • Note the article said "campus wide" heating issue over semester break.

Most every doctor I know, or have ever spoken to will tell you that cold does not createc colds, flu, etc. It might be an issue if someone is already ill.

  • Most people are not loaded with money and can’t afford to give more money. Why in the crap do we still have only 3,000 members..I doubt they contact only members. we shoud have at least 159,000 alumni, but are we contacting them?Too bad we don’t have a T Bone Pickens to build us a new arena.

  • Did I read that he is not going to be in this years draft?  Is he sitting out a year to train rather than playing against competition?  The training facility might be world class, but real competition is difficult to match.  I'm all for him going in this years draft.  But, training for a year, rather than playing in real games, does not sound like the best idea.  Peneva has only played against USA competition for three years.

  • Disagree 429,

This wasn't an "underhanded slap"; it was a full frontal, well-deserved bitch-slap.

I doubt we'll ever know if the HVAC & vermin-control problems were deciding issues with the Penavas, but those concerns need to be addressed ASAP.

This is my point. Chunky could have written an article about the Henderson center issues and penava leaving but instead he writes an article speculating the reasons why penava is leaving only to get a dog in

  • Spending the year in Santa Barbara to develop his body.

It's their decision, but I have a right to say how dumb it is.  Working on his body at MU, playing against game competition his Senior year, leading the nation in blocked shots 2 years in a row, and getting the publicity from another NCAA appearance would have put Ajdin in the driver's seat for a pro career.  This decision was very short sighted and not thought out very well.

it was a stomach flu or bug. Jannson's mom and i both caught it when we were up there with Jannson and around all of the guys. It wasnt because the place was too cold.

  • I’m going to say that while he might spend time working on his body, I would expect him to also make an effort to play in the G League. He can get picked up on a G League team without attachment to an NBA team and still be available for the next draft.  If that’s what he is thinking.

  • Will he have his degree at the completion of this semester? Banking on a Pro career of even 4-5 years is a huge gamble. Jmo

  • Wish him the best.  Chuck always likes to stir dirt, otherwise who would even bother to read his crap.

I'm looking ahead, and as I've said a few times already, Jannson is developing at a rate that is putting Adjin's development in the dust.  I'm excited we had them both for a year and really sorry both experienced time-losing events.  Let's face it, if kids are smart, they'll trade a few hot or cold days in the CAM for DD's tutoring and mentoring, and skills development. Tie that with the staff he's been able to keep, and hire (Corny), kids are fortunate to be learning from a very, very, very good player developer and crew.

I actually heard yesterday that he will need 15 hours in the summer to get his degree. He is going to do that from what I was told.

  • I imagine he will make himself eligible for draft.  He could sign as a FA with a team if not drafted.  NBA has a summer league with a limited schedule and then G league.  Many cities have summer leagues that involve NBA players (current and former) along with others.  It would be hard to believe you would be full-time body development without basketball training/playing.

Government is the most dangerous institution known to man. Throughout history it has violated the rights of men more than any individual or group of individuals could do: it has killed people, enslaved them, sent them to forced labor and concentration camps, and regularly robbed and pillaged them of the fruits of their expended labor. ~ JOHN HOSPERS
