Down 26-24 after 1 quarter.

2nd group that came in didn't do as good of a job at penetrating. They were the young ones and it showed.

Danny has a lot of work to do. Mentality is street ball right now and not a single set play. And pick and rolls are nowhere to be seen because we don't have many bigs that can execute it right now.

Actually the first 2 games we have played pretty good D.44 steals in 2 games. Granted we haven't been playing WKU

These guys are much, much, more talented than two previous teams we played.

We are down 55-54 at the half. Hopefully we come out 2nd half with a more limited rotation and play to win.

The other team is pretty quick and athletic and has some size too. Watching first half I am most concerned about how MU is going to rebound the basketball once we start playing real games in fall.

I think we are going to miss Peneva much more than we think. He was very skilled inside and was really good at pick and roll. You v
can play small and athletic if you press like crazy. But your rotations and help have to be very good and not give up easy baskets. I still think Danny gets it figured out because he does every year. Every year we start out looking like crap and get better and better. But i'm just not seeing a productive inside guy between Bennett and Sustic right now pick and roll and scoring around the basket.

That has been one of the biggest bugaboo for a few years is rebounding.

I'm glad we had a bit of a challenge winning this game even though we obviously played everyone as we should. I just mean it was good to make them work a little bit and get some better film.

I'm sure this film and experience will be invaluable over the next few months.
