  • -Rookie fullback Ryan Yurachek hasn’t heard his named called a ton this training camp, but he certainly made his presence felt Tuesday, as he lowered his shoulder, and delivered one heck of a lead block during one of the team’s 11-on-11 periods. The hit Yurachek laid was one where you look up, and go, wow, you don’t hear that every day.

  • He also had a catch in Oaklands preseason game the other day.  I think the pro coaches are smart using him as a fullback.  I saw his bio on Raiders sight and I think it had him listed as 6'0 244.  I always thought we listed him at 6'3 or 6'4.

BTW Emmanual Beal (sp) catch 2 passes for Green Bay and N Hewitt has 8 tackles for Jets

  • I heard an NFL commentator mention that the Chargers were interested in RY as a TE.

  • Vedvik is punting/kicking well for the Ravens.  Saw him knock down a 48 yard FG last night.  Holliday wouldn't even let him try one that long!

Glad that the Ravens are letting him punt and kick during the preseason games.  His best chance in making the NFL is not with the Ravens who have great, established kicker/punters, but with another team that watches his tape.

  • I admit I've stated that both Litton and Vidvek were longshots to make active rosters in NFL this year but would nothing better if both (and Yurachek)made a roster or practice squad.

Byrd or the dude who left and ended up at Auburn?  I am assuming Byrd.
