  • IMO Bennett had his best practice yet I've been too. He made some unreal plays inside for a big man. Catching passes inside and finishing on the run for a guy his size was amazing. He has great hands to be so big. He caught one bounce pass in traffic and finished that left me speechless. Also Jannson caught a bad alleyoop pass with one hand and reversed laid it in. I still don't know how he caught it with one hand and reverse turned in the air and made that shot. Also Sustic is still getting better every practice. I thought at first he would be a role player just to give a breather and not much else. But he is turning into a really nice player and just keeps getting better and better. I can't wait for this season to get started. The way Sustic and Bennett are coming on, I have upped my expectations.

Suprisingly he does. He has actually became a very good shooter from 3. But don't expect him to shoot many. But if he is left open, he can knock it down. He just gives us something we haven't had inside for many years. He made some plays today that just was BIG time at any school. Once Bennett, Sustic, Beyers and Kinsey gets acclimated in live action and they mesh with the team, we are going to have one FUN year in basketball. I'm just being as truthful as I can from what I see. And i'm trying not to be a pumper, but it's hard not to be seeing how these guys are coming on. This team is so far ahead of last years team it's not funny.

Dont forget , you need to tone down the enthusiasm a little , some take it personal that certain players dont meet the expectations you brag about in the practice reports.

  • Herdorbust, from your reports, it sounds like that with Jannson, Iran, Sustic and Byers, MU could have its deepest and most talented overall front line in Danny's tenure.  Add to that all the returning talent and FIREPOWER in our backcourt, and this team, with meshing teamwork which comes with games, could be SCARY GOOD!!!!!

Actually the plays were not dunkable. That is what was so impressive. We was flying through the lane in traffic and took a tough bounce pass and layed it off the glass in traffic. The other was a nice reverse lay up with good defense on him. He was very smooth today.

Man I am fired up right now. I definitely think we will be better than last year. How awesome would it be to crack the Top 25?

We aren't confusing "very good" with "decent" or "capable" to define his shooting are we?

George has that tough hustle to him. Kid will launch to the floor for a loose ball with no regard for his body. Williams also has this mentality. Williams and George both started clicking around the same time last year. I believe George could be a big surprise for us on the boards and offensively this year. I think excitement for his development has taken a back seat to the newbies, but don't sleep on him. Being a tenacious competitor is not something that can be taught and I believe he has it.

I haven't asked him. His lower body is noticeably bigger. Still working on upper body.
